The X Factor has sent the twitter world into a frenzy after tweeting yesterday about the promise of a fifth judge for the ever popular show, and with all the other changes they are rolling out this year this series looks set to be more addictive than ever.
Returning for its 10th series this Saturday, The X Factor is keeping on long standing judges Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne alongside the dreamy Gary Barlow and stunning Nicole Scherzinger, but after the tweet it looks likely that we’ll have a new face on our screens soon. Simon Cowell is also rumoured to be returning to our screens after Boot Camp or via satellite during the live shows.
The popular ITV singing competition is going to have a complete overhaul of the voting system for the live shows, giving viewers 200 seconds to vote for their favourite contestant after they’ve sung. The charming Dermot O’Leary will then reveal who has received the lowest number of votes placing the singer up for elimination round on the Sunday show.
This streamlining of the voting system is just one of the several changes the producers have made to The X Factor, another being that the judges will have their Boot Camp category revealed to them before they get to the stage in the competition.
Earlier in the year plans to change the audition process were also revealed, the contestants will now go through the audition room and on to an auditorium if they get through to sing in a group, revisiting the old format of acappella singing to “bring more warmth back to the show”.
