Formula 1 is set to return to our screens this weekend, and Australia’s Albert Park race track will herald what is sure to be an incredibly exciting season for the highest rung of the racing ladder. With the focus mainly centring upon the changes in regulations, the shifting alliances of Raikkonen and the return of a fan favourite in Kobayashi, it is certainly promising a lot. How will this season be for the viewer though? What advances have been made in how we will be seeing the action from our homes? Well it turns out that in the last few years we have seen somewhat of a revolution in the way we watch Formula 1, and each of the following factors has seen Formula 1 become more and more exciting;
HD F1
In 2011, Formula 1 began to be shown in high definition for the first time. Many people scoffed at the idea that it needed any further definition; the technology seemed to really find a home with fans though. From the intenseness of the colours to the incredible detail of the track surroundings, high definition seemed to liven up a season that Vettel’s 11 wins out of 19 had seemingly sapped of some excitement. Whether you are a diehard fan or not, it is hard not to be entranced by the high speed spectacle that is Formula 1 in high definition.
F1 App
The introduction of the Formula 1 app to smart phones really revolutionised the idea of fans being able to get involved with the coverage of the sport. Fans are now able to get real time data on how their favourite driver is doing. In-car views, live pause, driver tracking and live track positioning are just some of the many features available through the app. This has allowed a real depth of enjoyment for the fans, enabling them to lift the veil and choose exactly what they want their coverage to be. The app has opened the sport up to the digital age.
3D F1
In 2013, Sky launched its Formula 1 coverage in 3D for the first time; this new angle again was scoffed at by the sceptics. Again though, 3D really found an instant home in Formula 1 and really added an edge to the viewing experience. The intensity of Monaco’s tight corners and the intenseness of the track surroundings are given an extra level when viewed in 3D, and it really adds a sense of scale that is not possible with 2D TV.
All these factors mean that, no matter who takes the first race of the season, you will still have an incredible viewing experience. Here at Electronic World, we are committed to making sure that our customers are able to enjoy all of their favourite sports in the best possible way, and so we offer a range of cheap TVs for you to choose from. The price of these TVs does not mean that they are not able to provide an excellent viewing experience though, and we have a huge range of both HD and 3D TVs for you to choose from. Whether you want a huge home cinema-esque screen for you and your friends to group around, or a smaller screen for your bedroom to make sure you don’t miss those early morning races, we have exactly what you need.
