Are You the Serial Killer? – Dexter
You would think that after 6 seasons, we wouldn’t be too shocked when Deb finally finds that out her half brother is serial killer – he’d been killing under her nose all their life after all. However, after he kills someone in an abandoned church at the end of S6, we were still really shocked to find her stood there watching him. She helps him dispose of the body and he manages to convince her that it was just the one time – and we thought his secret was safe again. This is why we were blown away at the end of the first episode of season 7, when he comes home to find out that she has discovered all his killing tools and blood virals. It was a shock for both Deb and the viewers!
The Appearance of Dawn – Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Every fan of Buffy found themselves gawping at the TV at the beginning of season 5, as it was revealed that Buffy had a little sister. For viewers who had watched the show from the beginning, this was truly shocking, as we all knew that Buffy was an only child. It wasn’t like she just had a half sister out there; Dawn was placed in the show as if she had always been there. Turns out, she was a mystical ball of energy capable of opening the gates of hell – but she was made human. Complicated? Well Buffy, Dawn and everyone else had memories of her always being there and in their lives. We don’t think another show could of pulled off an amazing twist like this.
Beth Dies – The Walking Dead
We still can’t quite believe that this one actually happened! Fans were in complete shock (and then outrage) after the season 5 mid season finale, when fan favourite Beth was killed off with a bloody bullet to the head. She was a character who had slowly become a big favourite with the fans, so everyone was in disbelief at her untimely death. The worst thing was the fact that she basically killed herself. She stabbed Dawn who then shot her gun off in retaliation, but was it on purpose? We might never know but we are still as sad as Daryl was to lose his new best friend. Sob.
