What Just Happened? Most Shocking TV Moments (Part 2)

We recently started a series that looked at some of TVs most shocking moments. We’re not just talking about being slightly surprised; we’re referring to the moments that left us shaking our head in disbelief.  From cliffhangers to deaths – these moments are the most unforgettable.

Did that really happen? It did and there are so many other TV shockers than the ones we have already discussed. Here at just a few more!

Dean Becomes a Demon – Supernatural

After 9 whole seasons, we were pretty positive that there was nothing that Supernatural could do that would really shock us. Let’s be honest, Sam’s already died about 6 times and Dean was killed about 100 times by the Trickster in one single episode. Therefore we are pretty proud that the show managed to shock us at the end of the 9th season. After Dean was stabbed by Metatron and died, we figured it was going to be like all the other times a brother died – they were brought back to life. We were super shocked then when the season ended with Dean opening his eyes and showing off the trademark black demon peepers!

Joe Carroll Actually Dies – The Following

With news that The Following wouldn’t be getting a new series after the third season (sob), we should have been prepared for the moment the writers decided enough was enough and Joe Carroll needed to die for his crimes. After getting away with his murderous crimes for 3 seasons, it was probably the right time for him to be stopped for good. After being put on death row, Joe finally found his end after being executed by lethal injection. There was a lot of conspiracy theories flying around, but actor James Purefoy confirmed that he’s really dead dead.

Hank Discovers Walt is Heisenberg – Breaking Bad

We had been waiting for this moment since the very first episode, yet we were still shocked when Hank finally discovered that his brother in law was the murderous drug kingpin that he had been hunting for years. After finding a book whilst sat on the toilet, which included a message addressed to W.W, Hank finally put two and two together. The realisation on his face was absolutely amazing! We suppose it took him long enough, as it had been happening under his nose for a really long time.

Justin Ripley Dies – Luther

This one was equally shocking and heartbreaking. Stunned fans rioted on Twitter after Luther’s sidekick Justin Ripley was left for dead in the penultimate episode of the final season. After quickly becoming a fan favourite, we were all devastated when he had a face off with a vigilante which resulted in his death. Sob. We should have seen it coming, especially after Luther had uttered the line “He’s my mate. I love him” – it was never going to end well. The beautiful bromance was doomed from the start! With only one episode left of the series, his death was truly shocking.

Before you go rush off to rewatch some of these outrageous moments (because we know you want to), why don’t you treat yourself to a new TV? Everything looks so much better on a brand new television.
