It’s a fact – whatever your taste in music, there is something for everyone.
Whether you are dancing your socks off or putting your feet up, from modern pop to classical opera, now more than ever, there is a huge choice available to suit any taste.
This is reflected in the market, as the digital music sector is growing at a rapid rate. Recent statistics show that over the past ten years, online music sales show a significant growth, reaching a peak of 431.1 million British pounds in 2016.
Why Stream?
Streaming is when an individual listens to music in ‘real time’, instead of downloading the track to your device.
It is preferable to the more traditional methods of listening to music, such as purchasing a CD or downloading your favourite album onto your mobile, as you have access to a wider selection of music for a standard monthly price.
This has seen a massive increase in recent years, as subscription services are available on all forms of technological devices, including laptops, mobile phones, tablets, and televisions.
Due to this, there are now several different platforms available to choose from, which can make the choice of selecting which to sign up to, ever more difficult.
Below is a breakdown of some of the most popular streaming services.
Apple Music
Price: After a three-month trial, Apple Music will set you back £9.99 a month.

Owned by the likes of Jay Z, Beyoncé, and Rihanna, this music streaming service aims to deliver high-quality sound with an emphasis on ‘restoring value to music’, through its unique ownership model. Benefits include full, exclusive access to 46 million songs and 190,000 videos.
