We edge ever closer to the halfway point of the year and we have already seen a wealth of amazing additions to the Netflix catalogue.
The year was off to a fantastic start with brand new Netflix original docu-series Rotten, examining the food we eat in a way you have never seen before.
February and March saw the second seasons of popular series’ such as Marseille and A Series of Unfortunate Events, whilst April has welcomed cult thrillers like Scarface and Seven alongside the eagerly awaited second season of Jessica Jones.
So what does May have in store? Take a look at some of the highlights below.
The Rain

Brand new Scandinavian based TV series The Rain washes into Netflix May 4th.
The fictional series follows two siblings as they emerge from a bunker six years after a rain-carried virus has wiped out the majority of the population.
In search of signs of life, the siblings embark on a dangerous journey through the now abandoned land; expect breathtaking scenery paired with – if the trailer is anything to go by – dark twists and turns designed to throw you to the edge of your seat.
Cargo
When? 18th May
Not to be confused with black comedy TV series Fargo in which Martin Freeman also stars, Cargo is a 2017 film set for the Netflix screen May 18th.
Another post-apocalyptic addition to the calendar in May, Cargo centres around couple Andy and Kay as they attempt to evade a violent pandemic and desperately seek a new home for their infant child.
In a race against time, a young indigenous girl becomes their only chance of safety, yet with her own motives, will the family make it?
Thor: Ragnarok
When? May
The third in the series of Marvel’s Thor, Thor: Ragnarok welcomes back cast favourites Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston for another action-packed saving-the-planet adventure.
After Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe, he must battle against former ally and fellow Avenger the Hulk to win his freedom, all in time to save his home planet of Asgard.

RuPaul’s Drag Race (Season 10)
When? May 25th
Fans of the incredibly popular series will be devastated when the latest season ‘sashay’s away’ (or comes to a close, to you and me) on May 25th.
