Samsung
In 2020, Samsung scored top of the leaderboard in the sale of televisions. Having been a manufacturer of technology since the 1960s, Samsung has always been innovative and reliable in its products. This experience has made them a brand we know well and trust when it comes to a high spec, high quality and high expectations, and of course, they promise this throughout all their televisions.
Samsung is the only manufacturer of televisions with its own in house voice assistant “Bixby”. The function of Bixby may not quite meet the standard of the likes of Alexa and Google, and with the latest models beginning to support Amazon’s Alexa, whilst a quirky gimmick, possibly not the most outstanding example of Samsungs standard forward-thinking technology.
Suppose you are looking for a TV with general all-around quality and reliability. In that case, Samsung comes out on top. Many Samsung TVs would often come with a high price tag, but as the world catches up to their technology and sleek design, the price tag seems a little less unreachable. LG
LG is known for creating perfect definition and vibrant colours with OLED screens. They also are the largest manufacturer of OLED panels, for not just themselves, but they also create them for most of their competitors. This makes them a prominent company for optimum screen quality. If you are looking for a TV with excellent screen quality, an LG TV deal is probably the best purchase.
While its downside falls with LG’s lack of support for the latest video playback (HDR10+), it is still the most favourable choice for gamers, with its sharp detail and rich colours. The LG range of TVs also seems to come in much cheaper than other TVs, making it a reasonably cheap smart TV.
Sony
If you are looking for dynamic sound control, this brand is one to blow you away. With so much connection to the music industry, Sony likes to ensure that they come out as the best when it comes to audio.
With the latest technology, they apply acoustic surface audio, which has allowed them to place speakers cleverly to project sound directly from the device instead of having separate speakers, which usually work with an upward-firing speaker. This audio delivery method ensures the most eloquent sound quality and experience.
Another feature you may wish to consider is energy consumption. As a rule, Sony will usually come out with 20-30% lower power consumption than other big brands.
Panasonic
Whilst we have touched on the issue of energy consumption, it is only fair we mention the constancy of being the best energy efficient TV on the market. Panasonic has provided TVs for many years and offers an incredible collection of large screens, and provides a much cheaper competition to the bigger brands.
Whilst Panasonic can certainly stand on its merit regarding picture quality and general excellence, and they are market pioneers when it comes to reliability. As a result, their customers will still have the same TV they bought ten years ago compared to some other big brands, who, whilst technology may be more advanced, could need regular updating.
Toshiba
Toshiba TVs are certainly more mid-range when comparing prices of a TV set, which makes them an Amazon Best Seller. Toshiba is an excellent choice if you look for a low-budget price tag with excellent viewing quality.
Working with Amazon, they also provide Alexa assistance and use micro-dimming technology, which allows the screen to automatically adjust its contrast allowing for deeper blacks and colour definition. So if you are looking to create a cinema room with a large screen, then Toshiba could be the best choice for quality yet cheap LED TVs.
Overall, there is no one defining brand that comes out on top. All these companies provide excellence in their own ways. It all depends on what you look for in quality and features.
