Even more LG TVs will soon be able to use the Google Assistant with AI ThinQ in the fourth quarter. They are introducing Google Assistant in seven more markets – Australia, Canada, France, German, South Korea, Spain and the United Kingdom – with support in up to five languages. This innovation raises the bar for voice recognition solutions.

Google Assistant allows for a more streamlined user experience, allowing people to manage daily tasks, find answers or control compatible smart home devices. They can serve as the centre of a smart home, as Google Assistant is compatible with more than 5,000 smart devices across hundreds of popular brands.

LG Introduces World’s First 8K OLED TV

At the recent 2018 IFA in Berlin, LG unveiled the world’s first 8K (7680 x 4320) OLED TV. The TV features over 33 million self-emitting pixels to produce unmatched contrast ratio and true blacks that define OLED TV’s iconic picture quality. Truly a TV innovation.

According to LG, OLED TV shipments in the market are expected to double in 2018 and reach over nine million units by 2022; LG will continue to increase the OLED share in its premium TV portfolio. Whilst the 8K market is relatively new, it is expected to grow to more than 5 million units by 2022.
