Television is undeniably quite a big part of Christmas for many people. After dinner on the 25th, families around the country will be sitting down in front of the box to an aray of Christmas specials whilst they digest ridiculous amounts of turkey.
Of course, anybody with any sense knows that Christmas TV is usually very hit and miss, and more often than not it’s a miss. However, if the sales figures in the run up to Christmas are anything to go by it’s quite likely that many people will be receiving home entertainment and audio visual equipment such as new Blu-ray players as gifts.
A new blu-ray player and a stack of discs to watch on it would make the ideal Christmas gift, particularly for those people who are dreading the prospect of being stuck in the house with nothing but questionable Christmas programming to watch.
With so many technological innovations in the industry occuring over the past year it’s hardly surprising that so many people have been buying new TVs and other home entertainment equipment in the run up to Christmas.
The latest models from leading brands have proven to be especially popular and there will be plenty of families waking up on Christmas Day to find that Father Christmas has left them a new Samsung 32 TV. Hopefully he’s also left a brand new blu-ray player with a massive selection of discs so they don’t have to endure the Christmas edition of Eastenders, painful sitcoms and the notoriously tedious Queen’s speech.
