3D TVs were the must haves of television to own, being able to say to your friends you can watch 3D in your own home was something to brag about, and it brought huge excitement to the viewer. What is 3D TV?

A 3D film is a motion picture that enhances the illusion or depth perception, hence the name third dimension, allowing the viewer to watch television in height, width, and depth. 3D televisions use a principle of sending slightly different images to each eye to give the illusion of depth, only the television does this in such rapid succession to create moving three-dimensional pictures.

To see these images created, special glasses must be worn to appreciate the full effect 3D images bring.
