January is always a strange month; it’s miserable outside, and after the hustle and bustle of the festive period, there is nothing more rewarding than putting your feet up and binge-watching your favourite television show.

Widely viewed as some of the greatest films of all time, the Corleone’s are introduced to Netflix with open arms in January.
With a total running time of 539 minutes, don’t expect to watch this trilogy in one sitting. That being said, they are certainly ones not to be missed.
Rotten NETFLIX ORIGINAL
When: 5th January
The only documentary to make this list, Rotten is a six-part docu-series which examines the food we eat in a way you’ve never seen before.
The unapologetic expose focuses in on mass food production in the US, and is not for those with a queasy stomach.
Prepared to be blown away (and disgusted!).
The Polka King NETFLIX ORIGINAL
When: 12th January
Netflix original dark comedy The Polka King makes its debut January 12th.
It follows the sensational true story of Jan Lewan, who duped fans into investing in a fraudulent Ponzi scheme. Jack Black stars.
Homeland Season 6
When: 15th January
The eagerly anticipated Season 6 of Homeland hits Netflix screens January 15th.
Picking up a couple months after the close of Season 5, Claire Danes’ Carrie Mathison is back in the US, during the run-up to the new Presidents inauguration.
Expect current twists and turns in this popular political thriller.
Despicable Me 2
When: 25th January
Another perfect film for the entire family on a lazy Sunday, Despicable Me 2 is impossible not to enjoy.
Gru is back with his newfound family, and is trying out a life without crime. However, when the AVL – the Anti-Villain League – comes knocking, can he close the door on his old life for good?
Guaranteed laughs arriving 25th January.
