This week it was announced that the popular TV show The X-Files will return to TV screens after a 13 year hiatus.
Although its next air date is currently not known, the new series will be presented in six parts and will see David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

Beyond The Sea (Season 1, Episode 13)
Aired: 17th January 1994
This episode sees FBI agents Mulder and Scully confronted with a psychic death row inmate who helps Scully to try and ‘connect’ with her late father. This early episode is somewhat haunting, testing your view on psychic powers. This episode is also an excellent example of Anderson’s incredible, emotional acting skills.
Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose (Season 3, Episode 4)
Aired: 13th October 1995
This episode is one of the most memorable and critically-acclaimed of the entire series, winning two Primetime Emmy Awards. It tells the story of a psychic, Clyde Bruckman (played by Peter Boyle), with a talent for predicting how people will die. Bruckman assists Mulder and Scully to solve a murder, resulting in a slightly humorous and very creepy episode.
X Cops (Season 7, Episode 12)
Aired: 20th February 2000
Written by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, this episode sees Mulder and Scully finding themselves on the set of reality show Cops while hunting down a mysterious paranormal creature. Mystery and humour is littered through this unconventional collaboration, making it one of the best episodes in the entire series.
